Newtownbarry house is located just outside Bunclody in Co Wexford. A wonderful country estate with a Victorian classical house surrounded by lawns, ancient trees and a sunken garden. Visitors are welcome from May to August with our in-house tearoom serving freshly baked scones and cakes daily. Parts of Newtownbarry House and Gardens date back to the 18th and 19th century and have been recently restored. The Sunken Garden covering approx. two acres, is a colourful walled garden which includes a formal oval pool, a fountain and a series of borders filled with shrubs and herbaceous perennials, enclosed by lines of dwarf hedges, mature trees, a rose garden and a lake. The Newtownbarry art gallery is open daily with regular exibitions from artists from near and far. House tours are availbale on request. Our summer exhibition commences on May 29th and closes on June 27th. With out second exhibition "Mothers and Daughters" opens on July 1st and closes on 25th July. Our final exhibition is 10 print makers which opens on 29th July and closes on 30th August.
